OA Shootin' - Sporting Clay Tournament
2021 marks our 4th annual OA Shootin' -- a Sporting Clay shotgun range event on Sunday morning limited to the first 24 people who register. Cost starts at $125 and includes ~100 ammo rounds, shotgun, supplies, and small contribution to the DVGC Legacy Fund. Format will be 4-person teams, each with at least one experienced Marksman. Required safety briefing and instruction from 9:00-9:45am, event will end by 12:00pm followed by lunch. Hosted by Larry Abbott, former Grand Canyon Council CEO/Scout Executive.

The DVGC Committee is committed to offering an inexpensive registration option in order to encourage fellowship and participation. If you are registering as an individual and you are able to give at a higher level, please thoughtfully consider the Marksman level at $150. We thank you for your support and generosity in helping us maximize the tournament's contribution to the Scouting funds.

Hotel Accommodations
The tournament committee has negotiated a special group rate at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, AZ. The discounted rate is $149/night plus tax, down from the regular rate of $219/night. All accommodations are suites with two double beds or one king bed plus a fold-out sofa. The rate includes complimentary: evening manager's reception, made-to-order breakfast, WiFi, parking, and PHX airport shuttle service. A group code for booking online is available on our

IMPORTANT: You must reserve your suite by January 3, 2020. A block of rooms has been reserved for January 23, 2020 - January 26, 2020. The special room rate will be available until January 3rd or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Rooms may be available after January 3 but there is no guarantee.
The DVGC Committee will also host a Hospitality Suite at the hotel on Thursday and Friday evenings.
Double Vigil Golf Classic - Golf Tournament
We are excited to celebrate our 21st anniversary golf tournament on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Sponsorship Levels
Double Vigil Level Sponsor - $800: Entrance for a team of four, plus a Hole Sponsorship.
Vigil Level Sponsor - $400: Entrance for two players plus a Hole Sponsorship
Brotherhood Level Sponsor - $200: Entrance for one player plus a Hole Sponsorship
Ordeal Level Sponsor - $150: Entrance for one player at cost, no sponsorship

Mulligans: Essentially they are do-overs, each member of a team has the opportunity to purchase two mulligans for ten-dollars; they can be used at anytime to repeat any shot.
Paint Sticks: Each member of the team has the opportunity to purchase a paint-stick for ten-dollars; each paint stick can be used once during the round to improve the lie of the ball by the length of the paint stick even if it places the ball in the hole.
Raffle Tickets: A raffle will be held after the conclusion of golfing.

Event Shuttles
For those staying at the tournament hotel, in the interest of both safety and convenience, the DVGC committee will coordinate complimentary group transportation to and from the golf tournament as well as to the post-golf dinner social. Please help us anticipate the number of people needing transportation by signing up for either shuttle. Note that airport shuttles should be arranged directly with the hotel.
